The Marshall Thundering Herd women's basketball team represents Marshall University in NCAA Division I college basketball competition. They are a member of the Sun Belt Conference. The Thundering Herd's only two NCAA tournament appearances were with an automatic-bid in the 1997 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament with a #15 seed in the Midwest region and in the 2024 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament with a #13 seed in the Portland 3 region.

The Marshall Women's basketball team represents the United States in international competitions. Comprised of talented and skilled female athletes, the team is known for their competitive spirit, teamwork, and dedication to the sport. With a history of success on the international stage, the Marshall Women's team is a powerhouse in the world of basketball. They are proud ambassadors of the sport and embody the values of hard work, perseverance, and sportsmanship.
